Effective March 3, 2008, Egelston Township charges a $50.00 fee for Land Division Applications. An Applicant shall contact Egelston Township at 5428 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI., 49442, 231-788-2308 to receive and pay the fee for a land division application, and have the same reviewed and approved before making any divisions either by deed, land contract, lease for more than one (1) year, or for building development.
Many residents that have built homes, additions or garages have failed to have the building department do a final inspection on these projects. Please contact the building department as soon as possible to get this done. Having a final approval on your project can avoid problems with your insurance carrier should you have a claim.
